Fox Sports (USA) went on a mission to find the most dangerous ball in sports and ended up finding that it was the cricket ball (although the ball in baseball can be just as lethal). Watch for yourself.

In addition to the comparable density of the cricket and baseball, the added danger from cricket comes from the ability to hit the batter legally without incurring a penalty or benefit to the batter (in the case of baseball-a walk which get’s him/her out of the line of fire-no such luck in cricket). This was explained quite well in the Fox Sports episode.
