Anybody got a clue?

by

So, there’s been a lot of confusion among some people that I know about the World Cup 2007 tickets. My understanding was that India could end up being B1 or B2 at the end of the first round (depending on their ranking in the first round). But looking at the Follow-A-Path for India, it looks like India will be given the B2 position if it makes it through to the Super Eight stage, regardless of whether or not they did better than Sri Lanka. That doesn’t make much sense to me. Does any of you know what’s going on?

I thought India was likely to be B1 and bought tickets accordingly. Did I miss something?

Uh oh!! Yeah, it sure looks like India is going to be B2 no matter what. I think those seeds are pre-tournament and not for the tournament. When they made the groups, India was No. 7 and SL was No. 2. Hence, India is seeded No. 2 in the group.

Yeah, looks like it. It doesn’t make much sense because technically, India might not even qualify for the second round. And then Bangladesh could become B2 or whatever. Oh well. Looks like I’ll have to cancel those previous tickets I applied for, and get new ones. You planning to be in the Caribbean next year?

Well, before you do that, you better make sure about it. I don’t know if I am going to have time to go there. I am going to FL in May/June of ’07 for Sweety’s graduation and to India in Dec of ’07. So, can’t take any other vacation.

I am in the same confusion if India is going to be B1 or B2. Is there any authentic information from any website? I will be travelling to the Carribean from Canada and have to buy tickets accordingly… Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Merci
