BTW, surprisingly, Ponting is not listed among the middle-order batsmen. I didn’t have room to pick him in my team anyways, but I’m very surprised at such a glaring omission. I’m sure they will realize it and fix it soon enough.

The all-time world XI is to be selected from the all time XI for each country – so 8 countries, 88 players. Ponting’s omission is not a mistake. He didn’t even make it to the all time Aussie XI.

Shaun, I am going to take a wild guess and say that you’re a Sri Lankan fan. Jayasuriya, Gayle, Jayawardene, Malinga!?! No sane person who knows their cricket well would have any of those players in their team.

Yes of course Pratik….. I’m a fan of Sri Lankan Cricket… & i’m a fan of world cricket… So if it is good cricket, i’l admire any side.. It is not abt sri lankan cricket.. So i used 2 watch & enjoy cricket as much as possible… (test, ODI, t20, county cricket & many more) I have selected the best ODI & T2O Team. It’s up 2 u 2 shoot ur idea. But this is mine.
JAYASOORIYA & KALUWITHARANA changed the whole course of the opening batting.. Everyone knows it & jayasooriya has gt many records 2 prove dat he is 1 of the best fasters hitters in world cricket…
I’v got 2 say abt CHRIS GAYLE also the same. Did u watch IPL 2011?? Den u’l understand.
& How can u speak abt sane people mentioning MAHELA JAYAWARDANE… He is 1 of the best batsmen in the world.. Jayawardane & Sangakkara owned number 1 & 2 in test cricket n sevebral times.. & he is 1 of the top ten batsmen in test cricket… Please go through the ICC RECORDS… even though he is a leading test batsmen he performed very wel n ODI & T20… & was the best ICC CAPTAIN in the world…
& speaking abt LASITH MALINGA no doubts he is the world’s best T20 bowler.. & He is the best yoker bowler in the world. Sir WAZEEM AKRAM mentioned it.. & Sir Wazeem Akram mantioned Dat LASITH MALINGA is a lot better then WAZEEM AKRAM when he is bowling the yoker….
My TEST TEAM will have several changes… But dis is my WORLD’S ODI & WORLD’S T20 CRICKET TEAM pratik…
